Training
“PEOPLE ARE OUR GREATEST RESOURCE” is often quoted, but how many businesses would like to add a rider to the effect of: “WHEN EVERYTHING IS OK” or “WHEN THEY GET ON WITH EACH OTHER AND THE JOB” or “WHEN THEIR PERSONAL ISSUES DON’T GET IN THE WAY”!
In our age, going to work should be a joy. It should be rewarding and enjoyable. When it is, the business will run more smoothly and, should a problem arise, it will be noticed early on and action will be taken.
WARD WILLIAMS TRAINING AND SUPPORT is led by Caroline Harvey. The service offers Counselling, Coaching, Mediation or Training according to the problem being addressed. Recent work includes:
COUNSELLING
Life is going faster than ever and people nowadays are finding themselves in all sorts of difficulties: from Work to Finances, Relationships to Health. No matter what the issue, Ward Williams Counselling offers kind, supportive and practical support. Working with the individual, we empower them to find a way through and to take the steps they need to take.
WORK/LIFE BALANCE
For so many of us, there is simply too much to do in too little time and increased pressure at either work or home can sometimes tip the balance and lead to overwhelm. Delivered as Coaching or Training, people learn how to take charge of their lives; realising that the smallest of changes can make an enormous difference.
MANAGING SICKNESS ABSENCE
Non-Attendance is usually referred to as ‘sickness absence’ but people have differing levels of ‘sickness’ and this can lead to questions as to whether staff are, in fact, taking time off for spurious reasons! Whilst no one would want a member of staff to come to work if they were unwell, regular absenteeism needs to be tackled and Managers can make a huge difference to attendance levels. Delivered either as Coaching or Group Training, Managers explore non-attendance, understand motivation and practice initiatives to ‘encourage’ attendance.
DISPUTES
From time to time, relations at work can become strained and what may have started as a small grievance can escalate to a full-scale tribunal dispute with allegations or bullying or harassment! And this is where our Mediation service comes into it’s own.
The WARD WILLIAMS 3 STEP MEDIATION process is simple and it works.
1. We see both people together - to observe the dynamics between them.
2. Each person is seen individually - to give them extra skills and empower them to find ways of resolving the conflict.
3. We see both parties together again - to address specific grievances and agree a way forward.
