Apprenticeship summary

When you join Ward Williams as an AAT apprentice you will receive a broad generalist training and introduction to accountancy work using a variety of different accounting software to meet the Accountancy requirements across a wide range of different business sectors.

Duties include:

  • Be part of a team delivering accounts admin including:
  • Client accounting record requests and accounts planning work;
  • Downloading data from a variety of different accounts software and maintain databases;
  • Assisting in maintaining job management and client statutory deadline lists;
  • Preparing Accounts production packs and e-delivery of information using our client portal;
  • Bank reconciliations;
  • Trial balance posting;
  • Progressing to be involved with bookkeeping and VAT accounting work;
  • Regular communication with clients and senior staff;
  • Other adhoc administrative and accounting tasks as directed by the senior accounts Facilitator.

Future Prospects description:

On completion of apprenticeship there is an opportunity to join as bookkeeper or assistant accountant and after completing your AAT qualification with us there are opportunities for progression to further study to become a chartered accountant.
With the continuing organic growth of the practice there are opportunities for progression.

Wage: Competitive salary

Working week: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. Total hours per week: 35.00

Expected duration: 30 months

Possible start date: ASAP

Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship
