Audit Assistant Manager – Weybridge

Ward Williams are currently recruiting an Audit Assistant Manager based in Weybridge. The role will be reporting directly to the Corporate Services Managers.

We provide services to clients in a variety of sectors and perform audits of charities, solicitors and various other specialism’s in addition to statutory audit. In addition to the management of a small portfolio of clients you will assist Corporate Services Managers in the management of their portfolio’s and with the management and development of the audit team. Reporting to the Corporate Services Managers you will be involved in the management of the audit process from planning through to completion.

Duties include but are not limited to -

  • Liaising with clients to make arrangements for the annual audit
  • Audit planning, allocating work, briefing and controlling the audit team on assignments
  • Preparation and completion of audit working papers
  • Review of working papers prepared by audit seniors / juniors
  • Preparation and review of financial statements
  • Summarising audit issues and outstanding points to managers / partners
  • Identifying internal control weaknesses and communication of weakness through the preparation of the management letter
  • Preparation of audit finalisation documents
  • Delivery of final accounts and audit documentation to clients
  • Various adhoc admin tasks such as raising fees and assisting Corporate Services Managers with admin tasks and internal processes as necessary
  • Providing training to audit seniors / juniors

It is Company Policy that individuals are as flexible in their work as possible, therefore employees are expected to perform any other duties as reasonably instructed by their immediate Line Manager.

To be considered for the role you must –

  • Audit regulation and practice
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in practice with a strong audit background
  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Working knowledge of corporate taxation
  • Communication
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills ,
  • Work well in groups.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word are essential
  • Good problem-solvers and common sense.


  • Full time position Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch
